Sonata for Organ

Műismertető:

The opening Praeludium is built on two strong subjects: one of them is a pedal voice ostinato theme made up of thirds, while the other rests on a scale theme. The short Elegie (“in memoriam V. E.”) was written in memory of the composer’s organist grandfather, Endre Virágh, who was also his first organ teacher. The title of the last movement (Tanz-Toccata) is a reference both to the character of the movement and to the well-known virtuosic instrumental genre of baroque music.
